New Door Buttons

I should be getting some new colored buttons for the doors for Mouse Trap.  Mine stick pretty well and don't respond as quickly as I'd like it to be.  Pictures to come later this week with the new buttons in.  I also need to get some new light bulbs as well that need to be replaced.

Back to Mouse Trap

So I'm getting the itch to enjoy playing my Mouse Trap again.  I'd really like to get a score up on Twin Galaxies, even if it'll only be 7th in the world since I haven't had the patience to try and learn patterns for the damn cats.  That and the world record taking at least 24 hours to achieve doesn't sound like fun.

New High Score

Luke posted a new high score on Mouse trap of 343k....or right around there.  If he had recorded it and submitted it to Twin Galaxies, he would be in 7th place, and post the highest submitted score since 1985!

223k and some change.

Achieved this on Monday night.  Was very excited to have beaten Luke....who actually played a few games later on that night and got 221k, so he was pretty upset that he didn't quite reach the plateau!

High Score....?

Played a little bit earlier...had my best game yet, just around 195,000 I think....still a little ways off from the WR of 61 million.  Getting a little better strategy-wise with trapping mice and getting as many bonuses as possible without eating cats.  The quicker you eat them the faster they come after you, so avoiding them and the bird is key.

Here's hoping 200k will fall this week.

Who turned out the lights??

Mouse Trap experts....I need some help....or even arcade experts!  The lights for the 3 colored buttons and the dog button don't light up.  They did when I first fired up the machine for a couple of days, and then the darkness came.

I was able to learn how to pop open the control panel to look at the underside...but I'm not sure how to get the light bulbs out.

The machine itself runs very well....just need some lights!
